Using MSnS-E 029s, MS1 V3, 60-2 decoder, single coil + dizzy driven off of LED17/IGBT, 4cyl water-cooled VW, VROUTINV is jumpered.
It's reading RPM and is delivering fuel - I can hear the injectors and smell it. LED17 is flashing. I measure 330ohms between the top of R26 and IGBTIN.
I am getting no spark. The coil was pulled from a running car, and the primary-secondary resistance measures the same as that on another VW. I pulled a plug and stuck it in a wire and held it against the cylinder head to check, no spark. I positioned the coil wire near a ground, no spark. I measure 12v between the coil and ground.
I gapped the plugs a little colder, no spark; set the cranking dwell higher to 7ms, no spark.
MSQ is attached....
Thanks guys.

As LED17 is flashing it confirms that the code is trying to do something.
Could you confirm how the VB921 is wired and how the signal is getting from the VB921 to the coil.

I fixed the problem: though the coil was getting power, it was not enough. I put it on a relay with the fuel pump switch and now it's turning over. I still can't get it to idle, though; I'll capture some logs, play with the idle air and fuel table, and get back to you. Spark is set to 10 advance.
