Optical ignition

My problem is two fold.
First i bought a computer and harness from protocar, it is now all wired except for the optical distributor. The distributor that I am useing is from a '83 280 ZX Turbo. It has slits every one degree also there are slits every 60 degrees. There are 4 pins on the dist. One is ground and there are three transistors. The factory service manual (FSM) says transistors 1 and 3 are used for one degree detection, the graph shows the same wave form in sync for 1 and 3. Also i have a working stock 280ZX Turbo availble, of the four pins there is ground, 5V, 5V, and 12V going in to the distributor ( the distributor was unplugged). Does this add up to yall? Cany you enlighten me on what is going on here?

Next, i turned the power on and checked for good 12V to megasquirt, previously i have check for good grounds, for some reason with the DB 37 plugged in and power on, all three LED's are on solid, I only get 2.5V out to the sensors ( with all un plugged, and the same if plugged in) and the laptop doesnt communicate with the megasquirt . What can cause this?
