im using generic wheel 60-2 crank wheel

do i need to change my dwell settings ?? to fixed 50 or 75 %

The middle pin is 12v. The suppressor should be kept and goes from 12v to ground right by the coil.
The left wire does the left two towers, same for right.

Keep dwell control on.
I'm using crank 6.0ms, run 2.5ms, min dis 0.1ms with these coils and VB921.

The other wheel decoder settings ought to be the same, make sure you have Spark Output Inverted = yes.

I really hope this solves your problems - at least this is known workable hardware.

james you are indeed the ms daddy

ok fitted the mondeo coilpack checked my timing with a fixed angle of 10deg and it doesnt advance anymore

gave it a quick drive round the block and its smooth ish but does missfire and bog down when you try to put load on it could just be the ve table needs a good tuning now

dwell

Post by bens_cab »

would the dwell cause it to miss fire when putting load on the car at about 2500rpm it missfires and doesnt clear until you let off

however you can get the rpm higher by driving it more gently it will go above but as sson as you put youre foot down get the missfire again

my dwell is set the same as james

I found that accel enrichment could cause a misfire like you say.
What wheel decoder "style" are you using? My car does not like the 024s9 style, but runs fine on 025.
