4-1 trigger wheel and MS II

Post by arga »

I have a 99 Miata that uses a 4 tooth (no missing) crank sensor and a cam sensor that triggers one pulse on the first crank rotation and two pulses on the second rotation. Using RS latches, NAND gates and inverters I can block the crank pulse following a cam event creating a 4-1 wheel signal. Is a 4-1 wheel too course for ignition timing?

Never mind. The four crank teeth are not evenly spaced. It looks like need to figure out how to mount an EDIS trigger wheel to the front pully. Are there any how-to's out there on this?
