what would be a safe timing map for a 2.6 G54b mitsubishi. it is turbo, 4- 65 lb\hr injectors. i just need to get it running so it can idle decent.
i have a MS-1 MSNS-E with EDIS ignition, 4 bar map, barro correction,
just need a kick in the proper direction.

Safe is a very difficult promise to make. There have been posts on here of pinging at 10 degrees. If it is an unmodified turbo motor, intercooled and boost is kept to reasonable levels then you should be Ok to run spark map that has 20 degrees as its highest advance and then tune from there.

At IDLE you should be at 10 BTDC. The motor likes 30 BTDC @ 4500 however that number may range (give or take 5 degrees).
