Sequestial vs batch fuel injection
I have a bone stock 1990 mustang and have been thinking of purchasing a megasquirt. I cant afford the full blown ms3x complete system. I will probably have to purchase ms2 and assemble as a kit. Can you tell me if this will allow individual firing of the injectors like the factory did? If not, will I lose power and/or mileage by using ms2 on a completely stock engine?
Re: Sequestial vs batch fuel injection
A basic MS2 has only two injector driver circuits.

Loose power or mileage by moving from sequential to batch fire? Not that you'd notice.

Re: Sequestial vs batch fuel injection
Emissions might also be (slightly) affected. I urge you to spend the extra $106 and start with the MS3 kit. You can add the MS3X for full-sequential or COP later.
Re: Sequestial vs batch fuel injection
An MS2 can (with some mods) allow 4 injector channels. I assume this is an 8-cyl, so you can still have semi-sequential injection.
