coil on plugs

Post by mike59bike »

Hi. I want to connect a four cylinder motorbike with coil-on-plugs to MS V4. The only information I seem to have is to use a two-coil pack and wire for "wasted spark". I don't want to do that. Is it simply a question of using V4 pinouts for coils A,B,C and D, and if so what order do they go in? (ie does A correspond to cylinder 1, B to cylinder 3, C to cylinder 4 and D to cylinder 2 to correspond with firing order 1,3,4,2? Do I have to put the setting on ignition to "coil on plugs" and are there any other settings I need to know about? Thanks in anticipation, Mike, Kenilworth UK.

I think it is an illegal M-tech version. (Just checked on the counterfeit page and that would seem to be the case).

Hi. I don't think it's an illegal version, I purchased it openly and properly on the UK from MTech Automotive. I could ask them I suppose but I don't think they are up to the sort of technical knowledge as members of this forum. Regards, Mike

Is there nothing that can be done with M-Tech over there in the UK?

I have seen far too many guys here on the forum, that have been hosed by those dishonest slime balls!
