Log File to big to upload

Post by slattery_caleb »

I have a log file that I need to upload but is to big.

as it is it is around 8mb and if i zip it up it drops it down to 900Kb but it is still to big.

Is there anyway i can make it smaller after i have taken it, or what can i do to have it smaller when i make the file.

cheers

You have to manually trim the datalog down until it is under 1 mb.

Go to the "Search" drop-down tap in MegalogViewer and you will find the control selections for "delete everything prior to" and "delete everything after". This is how you trim the datalog down to 1mb or less. You can preserve the original datalog by re-naming the trimmed-down version.

When you're posting a datalog it's because you want forum members to examine and comment on a specific problem, so you only need a small (1mb or less) clip from your overall datalog. This helps to keep the discussion focused.
