For the people that attended, how can we make it even better? 2 days, more intro to installing and tuning?......

Was it what you expected?

Unfortunately for this event, I was in the wrong country - Australia. So I am looking forward to any videos that may give me some tips or any help :D

I meant to post this right after the meet, but life has a way of getting in the way don'tcha know. Oh well. And James, yes I did see your post but it seems that link didn't have the itinerary listed IIRC. No biggie, I got the answer, and thanks.

So I rolled in about 10:30 along with a BritishV8 buddie Carl Floyd and were soon putting some names and faces together. FINALLY at long last had a chance to talk to Bruce (and thanks a lot for doing this btw) we really should have met many years ago. He hooked me up with Ben and Scott, and in short order we had the car off the trailer and were tuning. Within about 1/2 hour the car went from being a smoky smelly, bad tempered monster to starting easily and behaving as it should. Plugs cleared up, the stink went away, and it was like night and day. I know, I should have done much better on initial setup. But I started out with MegaTune and still don't understand TS. I'm learning though, and Scott assured me he'd help me sort out the rest of it via email. That right there was worth the trip. We discovered I had a ground issue (showed up on the coolant temp) and I just today got that all sorted out and am about to get back into the soup on the warmup enrichments and IAC settings.

I was surprised by the number of people that were at the meet. Big crowd.

Thanks guys, I really did enjoy it.

Yeah? How'd we miss exchanging names I wonder? I know there were other people there I wanted to meet and didn't connect with. I'm sorry about that. And please let me apologize in advance for being terrible with names in general, back in my whitewater days we called it Guide-itis. You had to forget a dead president for any new name due to oversaturation. :? I don't know if that's a valid excuse or not but it's the one we used and the difficulty never seemed to go away afterwards. Plus we didn't stick around very long, it was a very busy weekend for both of us. I hope to make it next year and bring brother Dan with me, make some new friends and stick around for awhile.

That would be great to have more about installing and tuning best practices and maybe common mistakes you guys see(besides not reading the docs) Maybe friday night have it sort of a megasquirt car show and it can be more about everyones projects and rides. Saturday was very informative but it felt like everyone was rushing to fit into the time slot. Could have went 2 days easily.

There was talk of having a two track logic. One for people wanting to get started thru basic tuning and trouble shooting. The other track for a higher level "looking into the future" types.

Just thinking out loud. Keep the suggestions coming.

Andy... the guy with all the geeky graphs.

Any updates on the videos from the event? I am starting to regret not bringing my go-pro to film with.

As always, thanks for posting the vids for those who couldn't make it!

Are the slides from Andy's presentation available? Would love to watch again and compare side by side, sounded like some invaluable insight and can't wait for next season to start employing those tips.

Here is the PDF. A few slides were trimmed out at the last min.

High res picks can be seen at http://www.nbs-stl.com/MLVDemo/ The ones I used are in numerical order.

This may also help. It is a work in process. http://www.nbs-stl.com/tuning/BasicTuning101.pdf

Much appreciated, Andy. As I said before, looking forward to it. Haven't been able to look at your 101 pdf page for page yet, but it looks like it is sure to be another great resource.
