eec iv adapter boards
are they no more or will there be another outlet for them other than diyautotune.com?

Re: eec iv adapter boards
Having used one in the past I'm going to say there are better approaches, check out the DIY plug and plays for your EEC IV connector at diy autotune.

Why don't you want to use DIY's? They have a DIYBOB. Maybe you want to fit it in a stock case? I wanted that plus my project has an E4OD so I made my own. Originally I wanted to use the Microsquirt module and mount it to my board then use a DB25 for connection to the Megasquirt. But I ended up going with a V3 Microsquirt since the trans controller support is better.
Here's what I did http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... 23&t=57910 It was about 100.00 including shipping for the boards. I might make a V2 in the future using 4 layers, ground plane, and a few other tweaks. But I'm not sure yet.

Re: eec iv adapter boards
I liked it for the switching and control circuits on the board, and the idle side, plus I used the db 25 side for my ms3 sequential injection wiring. so simple. no way to do that with the plug and play harness they sell.....

Re: eec iv adapter boards
looks good Raymond, you design that and then contacted them for the proto's?
Re: eec iv adapter boards
Thanks, yes I exported out Gerber files and then sent them to the board manufacturer. They got here really fast, around 1.5 weeks IIRC.
What is your application? Do you have your PCMs pinout?

Here's my V3 of the board, it's 4 layer though and doubles the cost so I don't think I am going to have it made. I beefed up some of the traces (default is 25 mil, but EPC is 35 and power is 100 mil) and added a ground plane.

Back Up...
Raymond, Do you have any extra boards you'd be willing to sell? This looks like exactly what I need (Gen 1 Lightning to MS with stock E4OD).
Thanks!

Re: eec iv adapter boards
I do have some of my original boards left and I also have a later version where I got rid of the DB-25 connectors and went with the same AMP connector as a Microsquirt. I'll post some pictures and a pinout.Disney Lincoln wrote:Back Up...

Re: eec iv adapter boards
OK, sorry this took so long, life work, blah blah been busy.
Anyway if I was going to sell any extras I think I'd rather sell the 2nd version. I made a bunch of improvements. It has larger 12v and ground traces and improved routing. I also swapped out the dual 25 pin serial connectors for a single 35 pin Ampseal connector. It's the same connector the Microsquirt uses and is surprisingly inexpensive.
I probably should have made the board with the v2.2 Microsquirt PCB in mind, but James said there'd be no development on that item so I ditched it and just made a 60 pin adapter. You can split the wiring off however you see fit.
I'll take 35.00 for the board plus shipping. Let me know if you want any of the Ampseal connectors as I have a few of both the male and female ones since I could not order singles.
