Pacific Northwest GTG 2015

Post by Mario »

November 15th - 12-4pm

I got a new shop space and will be having an open house / GTG and bringing in a few MS cars to showcase.

If you think you can make it just say so to make sure we have enough snacks and beverages for all.

See you then :yeah!:

There are a handful of people that would like to get together around the Seattle area. I think it's a great idea.

Les put together a list of people and your location to help determine a good central location. Here are some that have showed interest so far:

Code: Select all

Mario, Monroe WA, VW Bug
Ollie8974, Lynnwood WA,
dakotaprerunner, Lynnwood WA, Dodge Magnum 5.9
nathaninwa, Aberdeen WA, Volvo 940 2JZ Turbo
matthunter1448, Spanaway WA, RX8 2JZ Turbo
Spit4ag, Spanaway WA, Triumph Spitfire 4AGE
R100RT Abbotsford CAN, BMW R100RT Turbo
Throw our some dates, I know the car show calendar is pretty packed this year. I think Late August to Mid September might be good.

The last weekend in August is out for me. My daughters birthday is August 28th

Just some ideas, if there any speed shops with a dyno or maybe Pacific raceway?

Edit. Her party is August 22nd

Thats right. Pacific has Wednesday test and tunes.

Mario, don't want to put you into a tuning day, but I like the speed shop idea a little more. Maybe a burger joint close by?

I'd rather dyno than strip if those are options since we plan on taking the car to the megameet

And I'll be bringing along a friend with a turbo Manx and I possibly might have my Z ready

I was looking into the distance to the Megameet last night, that is a drive brother!

Turning it into a dyno day would be fun, but also cost considerably more. It looks like there are a few burger placed around Blood, or there is the shop I use in Totem Lake as well. I know of another shop in Tacoma that may be willing to do something too. I guess if the majority want a dyno day we can look into the details a little further.

I'd be up for a road trip/ drop by. I'm up in Abbotsford just N of the border.
I'll watch for the developing date. Always keen to meet other squirters.

Thanks Ollie and Lorne! With Ollie that is one more for a dyno day.

I will contact some of my friends not on here, that could add 3 or 4 more to the mix.

I'm in Bellingham but we're moving East, probably the first week of August. And I'm headed to Alaska for a week mid-July. If I'm in the area when you decide to meet I will be there.

I'm game as long as it isn't the Weekend of Aug 21st. It's our anniversary that weekend and I'll more than likely be on the road.

Just keeping an eye on this thread in-case something works-out. A dyno day is cool, but much more difficult to organize. I vote for a coffee-shop or pizza joint meet just to say hello and put names to faces, and do it again bigger if interest is there. I'm on the west side of the Sound, so Tacoma, Lynnwood, and similar are good for me to drive-around or ferry to.

Sorry guys, I've been way overloaded this summer so I kinda forgot about trying to get everyone together

I had an idea though. There is an end of year VW get together at the Issaquah XXX drive in on the 27th of this month.

What do you guys think about piggy backing on that?
