Post by pbreaction »

What are yall using for wire loom thats heat insulated.

I used this stuff and the black strands melt like nylon rope.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M8G ... ge_o03_s00

I cant stand the look of the plastic loom either

I see some cool looking stuff on mcmaster-carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-cable ... ng/=y3bt21

So just wondering if anyone has tired and proven anything.

Thanks,

Mark

I've used this to protect a main harness as it goes within 50mm of a turbocharger exhaust housing:

ThermaShield T6 - 25.4mm x 1.2m - Reflective Heat Shield Sleeve

Installed 2 years ago, working well

I didn't post a link because links to eBay will probably be broken in a short while, but this is the product:

This screen grab should be more enduring

With an E bay listing post the sellers name.
