Android dashboard

Post by rroymondo »

Hi,

I'm after some help. I'm trying to get a dashboard display on an android tablet for a childs electric cart (giving a speedo, indicators, head light displayed on the tablet). I'm thinking that a Megasquirt ECU would be more that up to the job. Has anyone done this before.

Have you looked at Realdash yet? I am looking for the same thing for a BMW. It looks to be super customizable.

Edit* Just realized you said electric cart. Seems that you could use MS to capture sensor data and omething like realdash to display it. I am a newbwith MS but from what I can tell it would be possible.

it would have to be ms3 if you wanted speed sensors and that would be fantastically expensive for a kids toy. does it have to be android based? you my want to look towards a micro controller like an arduino for this project.
