EDIS8 Coil Pack wiring

Post by newman180 »

Hi,

When originally wiring up my coil pack A, B, C, D, I followed this image
Image
Image
Which shows the pin for A to be aligned with the connectors key. In the picture, the left coil pack shows the connectors key on the right side of the coil pack.

Following the Ford 5.0 plug layout it shows sparkplug 1 to be on the left side of the coil pack

To add to the confusion, this picture shows the pin for coil a to be on the left

and

as well as

So the question is, does the input pin line up with which coil it is firing? I.e. is coil A actually supposed to be the left pin contrary to the first picture I showed?

Just trying to add clarity as to which is the correct setup for the pins relative to the coils.

Thanks!

Interesting, this also aligns with my experience doing a spark test.

Anyone else? It might be worth clarifying the drawings to avoid future MS user problems?

Where's the confusion? The coil towers are on the same side as the input pin that controls it.
