Hi All,
I have an old MS2 (v3.57) that I built some time ago that I finally want to get around to doing something with. I plan to set it up with a 7-pin GM hei module on my existing VR distributor this weekend. I am a little confused by the documentation. I don't understand if/why I need a pull up resistor to supply a 5v reference voltage to the module when the engine starts (not cranking). Given I read Fidle could be used to switch a relay for a thermo fan, I would have thought it would be OK to supply a reference voltage with any other modifications or am I mistaken?
Alternatively, could I just use a relay and take 5v from the TPS, and use Fidle (configured for 12V) to switch the relay on or off an avoid installing a pull up resistor?
Regards Jacob

Re: 7-pin HEI 5v reference voltage
I'd suggest you update to the current firmware and read the matching manuals.

Re: 7-pin HEI 5v reference voltage
As long as vref on TPS has 5v running you can use that. No pullup required.
