MS2 on '80s GM TPI

Post by gjestico »

Hello. I have been away from the scene for a few years but am about to embark on a new project, Msquirting an '80s F-body TPI car. I figured an MS2 was ideal for this sort of thing, But does the MS2 still get any love here ? Or is most of the effort (code) going into the MS3 now ? Thanks for any advice and tips.

Oh, MS2 still gets plenty of love here. But if you are starting from scratch on this install, why not spend the trivial $100 or so more and begin with MS3 that gets the most love?

I converted my small block mopar over to 80s TPI with the gem computer. it is now laying on the shop floor, and an MS2 is going in its place. seems like a perfect fit.

Well, I have an MS2 lying around already. I thought this would be a perfect app for it, Simple IGN trigger, One coil, Batch fire etc. Its been a few years tho, I am not sure what firmware advances there have been since I last ran it. I cant seem to find a "release notes" detailing the MS2 code changes etc.

Oh, if you have an existing MS2, use it! I am not familiar with the MS2, but understand there were vast upgrades to features when the "extra" firmware was introduced.
