Hello

Im more of an old school guy, most of the time. Current set up on my 82 malibu is a blow-thru Edelbrock turbo on a 267v8 running 11lbs of boost.

Bought a MS2 and was going to convert to TPI. Decided to change routes completely.

I plan to swap in a 1uzfe Toyota V8 and run it off the MS2...after some reading Im not sure if that is possible.

Anyways here to learn!

Is this the earlier 1UZ or the later VVTi version? And does it have coil on plug or a distributor?

Either one is possible, but the MS2 won't drive VVTi; you'd either leave it disconnected or could upgrade to an MS3 to run that.

It will be an early one. Hope to be getting it this weekend.

Id like to convert to COP but I realize that will complicate things
