need information regarding Upgrading from MS1 to MS2

Post by Rubicon_Dave »

I'm sure there's some information on this somewhere but I've been searching and haven't found it yet...

I purchased an MS1 (B&G PCB 3.0) , soldered it all together and then found out after the fact that MS1 won't control the GM stepper IAC. Thankfully I discovered that I can purchase the MS II daughter board to upgrade to MS2 to control the stepper, but I haven't found any manuals or information regarding the upgrade process.

I assume it's a matter of swapping the daughterboard in place of the MS1 chip and making a few changes. (firmware, jumpers, etc...) If anyone can point me towards a FAQ or manual for the upgrade process I would appreciate it. ...Or do I just use the MS2 manual?

Thanks.

Go through the MS2 build manual to find the 12V feed to the daughtercard for the IAC stepper.
