NEW USER - Go easy on me!!!

Post by (SIC) »

Hi guys, I am the now the proud owner of a new (to me) already assembled and used DIYPNP. It used to be in a supercharged 1.6 MK1 MX5/Miata. It's a V1.1 board with a Microsquirt module V2.2M on top. It also has the connection strip to plug it directly to the car.

I am now wanting to get this unit back to a base map and working on my MK1 1.8 MX5?Miata.
I understand that the injection is sequencial on the 1.8 and different to the 1.6 engine.
Any information on any alterations to the wiring would be gratefully received!!!

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Tom ;-)

Basically, a PNP device is meant to be just that. So not the easiest variety to modify - if indeed you can find details on how to. Not saying it can't be done, though.

I've been on the DIYAUTOTUNE site to check the pin outs, etc and what I have isn't wired as shown.
I'm starting to get confused...

Dave... please check the product!!

This is a DIYPNP - the end user is by design intended to "modify" it to complete the connections between the main board and the vehicle connector board.

James, I spoke to you on the phone about this unit!
I didn't realise that you were admin on here!!!

As mentioned before, I have been looking for the pin outs for my car, 1993 Mk1 1.8 MX5 (Jap import)
Are there any other sites than DIYAUTOTUNE that might be able to help?

Please double check the model year, as the MX5s sold as 1993 models in most countries would have been all 1.6s. If this was sold as a 1994 model in the US, it would use this pinout.
