3 Wire Knock Sensor

Post by GTONath »

Hi,

I'm going to be running a 3 wire bosch piezo knock sensor, I have the knock module all soldered onto my ms3x board.

My question is how to wire the sensor? I'm assuming 1 will be wired to the knock module and the other 2 for the sensor are ground?

Thanks

So I cut the plug off the knock sensor, the 3rd terminal on the plug was a screen.

My new question is do I need to have a screened cable going to the knock sensor?

Cheers

it helps to reduce noise. not a bad thing... check that it's connected only to the ground at one extremity. Not both.
