Yes, you can run those injectors and a single coil from the mainboard, no necessity of the MS3X for now.

Do you have resistance specs on the Moran injectors? I doubt the mainboard drivers could drive 16 but 8 possibly.

Yes you only need 3x if you want seq fuel, multiple ign, and any of the other things (nitrous, launch, etc) without building those circuits. Almost all are possible to diy its just easier once you get to a few extras to do the 3x.
