Hello everyone,
It is time to move away from carburetors to ITBs to unlock the true potential of my engine. After reading the Megamanual I am still a little unsure about which products I need, so any help is greatly appreciated.
I would like to run the following setup:
-MS3 w/ expansion board
-existing (retrofit) EDIS-4 w/ VR Sensor on crankshaft
-existing (OEM) 5V Hall effect sensor on engine for VVT
- full sequential injection
Will this work? The documentation is a little bit ambiguous or I am misunderstanding it. In one chapter it says cam in needs to be a separate VR sensor on the camshaft, but the MS3X wiring diagram shows the possibility of using a hall effect input for the tach in.
Please help me clear this up.
Thanks
Steiny

1: Stay out of the Megamanual it doesn't apply to MS/Extra or MS3 firmware . Use the manuals linked at there top of the page.SteinOnkel wrote:Hello everyone,

2: Keep your 36-1 trigger wheel and VR sensor. Throw the EDIS module away and either add 2 BIP373s to the MS3/3X to run the EDIS coil pack or switch to some form of logic triggered coils.
3: The OEM Cam sensor will work fine with the Cam input on the X board. Be sure to set the x board pots for hall effect.

Sorry for the super late reply, Bill.billr wrote:I gotta ask... what engine is this that has VVT and carbs?
It did not come that way from the factory. I wish, that would be awesome!
