MGB Positive Ground EDIS
I'm considering a Megasquirt for ignition only at this time on a positive ground MGB. I *think* a 24-2 wheel installed in the distributor, Megasquirt, and then have the Megasquirt directly drive EDIS4 coil. There's very little clearance to put the wheel onto the crankshaft. My main concern is the positive ground. Has anyone done a direct drive of the EDIS4 in a positive ground setup? Actual success story before I try this would be most encouraging.

Re: MGB Positive Ground EDIS
EDIS refers to the module. So yours isn't an EDIS install. The Ford coilpack doesn't make it 'EDIS'
I don't think any Megasquirt will work with positive earth, can you convert to negative.

Re: MGB Positive Ground EDIS
Why not just convert your B to negative earth? Very little needs changing. An MG forum should have plenty of info, depending on the age of your B. Early ones can be converted for near zero cost.blaplante wrote:I'm considering a Megasquirt for ignition only at this time on a positive ground MGB. Also, an MS2 etc has the case connected to ground. I wouldn't want a large lump of live metal on my car.
Oddly, I suspect the EDIS module could be used on positive earth.
