Edis4 module problem

Post by mini-dunger »

Gday mates.

I'm Michael. I'm from Australia.

I am currently fitting ms2 with edis4 to a sc12 blow through intercooled mini..

I am not going to bore you with my trials and tribulations. Because man I have had millions so far... Anyway I digress

My edis module is not firing my coils. Even with the 2 wires to the ms disconnected.

I have power, good earth, good continuity to the coil pack....

I have tested the pins at the edis4 and I have a what appears to be a short between pin 9 (earth) and pin 10. I would expect this briefly as the coil would be "earth switched" but it stays on.

I'm in Australia and just grabbing another module and trying it is a little harder.

Could anyone offer me any suggestions?.

Even if I could find an actual schematic of the edis4 module I could find out why the pin 10 has a seemingly permanent ground...

I may be missing something obvious..

Thanks in advance for any Imput. I really do need it,
