2jz Injector dynamics ID1700x idle on pumpgas ?

Hi, I'm looking for some larger injectors. And have been looking at the ID1700x. For my 2jz gte engine.

I live in Denmark where we have Vpower 99octane from shell. Would it be possible to get a stable idle and low cruising speed with these injectors ?

99% of the time I will be driving on vpower and the rest is E85 or a blend of it.

The reason I don't wanna go id1300x is that I need the id1700x if I want to make over 1000whp on E85

I have a customer here with ID2000 and it's ok.

Currently I’m running aem series 1 ecu with 750cc peak and hold imjectors

I have ordered a ms3pro ultimate.

Is your customer running on pumpgas ? Not E85

I went for the ID1700's over the 2000 for idle quality. If you speak with ID they will say the 1700 has better idle and part throttle characteristics.

**But** you need to read this on their website. http://injectordynamics.com/injectors/id1700/

"The ID1700x will deliver flawless stoichiometric idle and cruise mixtures on E85, but like the ID2000, should not be expected to do so on gasoline.

If you need flawless drivability on gasoline, the ID1300x will provide this, and is capable of approximately 150hp per injector on E85."

I don’t need it to idle at 14.7 but as long it’s not something like 11-12

Yep, that's the million dollar question. You won't know for sure until you try.

my customer is running on pump and e85.

On pump, the idle is around 13.5 and ok with ID2000.

Definitely not as smooth as ID1000 but still acceptable for big injectors like that.

a cammed 2jz gte will no idle that smooth anyway. so i guess it will be fine

Would it be better to run 12 x ID1050x injectors ? And stage them ?

I have room for 2 x fuel rails on my intake manifold so I have no problem fitting a 2nd fuel rail.

Its pushing the limit for sure. 2x 1050 would be better if you are set on gasoline. As said above you can get away with the 1700-2k on gas with a high and rich idle.

I’m gonna drive mostly on VPower 99 octane. (I don’t have a gas station near by with E85) I’m gonna buy some 200L drums with E85 so I can blend it.

And the price for 12 x 1050x is cheaper than 6 x 1700x so the price is almost the same with an extra fuel rail and fittings.

Sorry for bringing this thread up again. It’s time for me to order some injectors and I’m a little unsure what to pick.

We are talking about either the ID1700x or then id2000 and I have talked to different tuners and there is different opinions about them.

I don’t really care about rich idle because I’m gonna put in some 280* cams, so I will need to idle rich. What I’m concerned about is the cruise quality at low rpm.

Injector dynamic and induction performance say I should pick the ID1700x even through I will get a little rich idle. Real street performance who tune a lot of 2jz engines say I should go for id2000 because even through they are larger they are performing a lot better than the ID1700x injctors, they say that the ID1700x struggle at low PW.

So if any of you that have knowledge on the two injectors running on pumpgas 99 octane please speak up

Neither would be my choice on gasoline but I have had better luck with the 1700x at low pw than the 2k. Use the supplied inj data and they idle ok but rich on gasoline.
