RPM dot jitter. Is that normal?

Post by maych87 »

My rpm dot is super jittery. I am trying to set up my engine states but it is difficult with the amount of oscillation I get when I data log the rpm dot.

1. Is that normal to have that jitter?

2. Is there a way in any of the settings to reduce the jitter?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

General settings I believe. You can adjust smoothing.

The RPMdot readings look pretty real to me. Looks like there was a misfire when you gave it more gas at around 73 seconds, possibly a bad spot on the VE table there.

I went back and looked under general settings and adjusted the smoothing on the rpm. I’m not sure how I missed that before. After adjusting it everything works great thanks.
