MAP sensor

I have a question about map sensor. I have both sensors so it doesn’t matter which one I use.

I need to use one for dome control and one for manifold pressure.

Is there any benefits of using one over the other sensor? Speed ? accuracy ?

Nobody else biting on this one? If they are both from quality vendors it comes down to cost and ease of fitting into your installation. One slight advantage to the "GM type" is that they are readily available, anytime and anywhere.

With both being 3 bar, I would expect accuracy/drift/resolution to be pretty much the same. Modern pressure-sensing ICs, the heart of the sensor, are almost generic. The packaging for the sensor probably costs as much (or more) than the circuitry. Note that I hedged with the "quality vendor" bit...

I dont know which vendor is the best here sorry.

GM or AEM. Is aem pressure sensors made by Honeywell?

The previous owner mounted the aem sensor at the bottom of the manifold. I don’t know if that’s a good idea through. I don’t know if moisture in the intake manifold can interrupt the sensing ability.

I think either GM or AEM would be good, but be aware that GM type sensors are made by a vast number of different vendors. If it doesn't have a GM P/N on it, I would look for some other "name brand" ID, like SMP.

I would avoid locating the sensor so that the sensing port is at a low point in the manifold. I think the sensing elements are pretty well protected from normal stuff in the intake, like water or fuel, or oil; but crud could collect down there and block the pressures getting to it.
