this is a link to an installer specifically for use with the latest MS-Extra code release (029t) it has the manual, the firmware and MegaTune options for Speed Density, Alpha, 400KPa, MAF, etc, so no messing with ini files, etc,

the 029t code is installed with megatune, if you look in START - PROGRAM FILES - MEGASQUIRT the downloader will be in there and the code is installed in c:/programfiles/megasquirt/029t/

I was wondering if at all possible could there be an indicator of some sort they lets the user know if information is being burnt to the ECU and when it has completed. For instance, in the Constants page, when I burn the values, that screen seems to take a good while. I guess a user could just wait 10 seconds or so and assume that the information has been burt, but I figured if it was possible for a visual that'd be helpful.

I notice at the bottom of MegaTune there is a "SAVED" text box, but I'm not sure if that applies to a saved MSQ, log file, or saved values to the ECU.

Hi there,
if MeagTune allows you control of the tabs then it has sent the info, i.e. whilst burning it doesnt allow anything to be changed, well thats the way I understand it anyhow :) MegaTunix has a RED area that shows you havent burnt the info and then BLACK when you have, may be give that a try it has some really cool new gismo's in it now too,

Yeh I've noticed that in some areas whenever you burn code, everything is frozen until everything has been burnt completely. Under the constants page, you can burn everything and for me it takes about 15 seconds. While in the burning process, it lets me close out of the Constants page, but of course the gauges are still frozen until it's all been successful.

I just figured it might be a little helpful, even though there is a way to tell by the delay of tabs, etc. I think I will have to try out MegaTunix though. It's been a very long time since I've tried it and I'm sure it's improved greatly.

Possible bug in Megatune installer

Phil,

I just tried to install the latest version of Megatune from this thread onto my new computer and my spyware programme (Pest Patrol) tells me that your installer file is corrupted with a spyware bug called "a-spy V2.12"

More info on the bug can be found here:
http://www.ca.com/securityadvisor/pest/ ... =453101425

Now, I'm not sure whether this is a valid alarm or not because Symantec Corporate Edition didn't pick it up but I thought I had better point it out in case we are compromising anyone's machine.

Regards,

Bob

is there any difference between this and the "regular" 2.25? I'm having trouble pulling the existing tune off of the ecu... "fetch" seems to not accomplish jack... VE table is all zeros, everything shows Zeros.
