MS2/extra

Post by JeroenBosma »

I am used to set MT for the extracode trough the configurator. I can't find the option exrtra code for MS2 ?

Does this work in an other way ?

Please advise me how to get my computer ready for MS2 ?

You just use the standard MS2 setting.

Are you sure you're ready to try alpha code?

Where do I unlock the features like DIS then ?

No, I am not sure. But I wan't to play with it. I use MS1 now, with a bi-fuel setup (LPG / Petrol on switchable maps) and dual VB921. I played with MS2 on EDIS with a single feul setup. I liked it. If MS2/extra could do these things I'd like to use them. But I understand it is in a very early development stage. I can't figure out what the dark sides are right now. Also because I haven't played with it just yet.

To see the MS2/Extra features you'll need to copy the provided megasquirt-ii.ini.ms2extra into the correct place and activate it.
If this doesn't make sense, then steer clear for the moment.

Cool !

I knew it should have worked like MS1-Extra, but I overlooked the file. Let's see what's in there......

Thanks !

Edit:

Why is the extra-code not showing up in the code selection when I have to chose the code variant ? It shows up in the right map and I did activate it......

Please post a screenshot of what you mean. When you have copied the file you should then be able to Activate the megasquirt-ii.ini.ms2extra file.
Chose Megasquirt-ii as the code variant.

Yup, it worked out. But...

It would make sense to be able to choose in the codevariant menu between the regular menu and the extra menu.

But now I'll switch trough the activate menu.
