Vista and connecting

Post by thanksrick »

I cannot get my Vista laptop to connect with my EMS PRO(ms1-extra). Is there a trick or a special way to make this happen. I have tried logging on as administrator and as windows xp and 95, still no go. what gives?

Try running Port Check and see if that will spot the eMS-Pro.

i had simerler problems, vista didnt seem to want to play i was using a serial to wotsit converter cable, ended up buting two types cause i noticed othe people posting problems, neither worked, broke laptop in temper and ended up buying old laptop with serial port and xp.

if you do same(not break the one youve got, just buy olde one with serial port) make sure your ds9 wire is fully wired type, my first one only had three dam wires in it,it looked identical to the newer one i brought, nine pins on both ends. anyway, i just connected the fully wired cable and when i clicked connect, it connected by magic, all on its own!!
