2nd copy of Megatune to work with existing MS2-E unit

Questions specific to Megatune. (Only about the tuning software, not about MS1/MS2 code or code features)
Note that Megatune is obsolete.

2nd copy of Megatune to work with existing MS2-E unit

Post by Changy »

Hi all,
im trying to get another copy of Megatune on a more reliable laptop to work with my existing and fully mapped MS2E V3 ECU which i dont want to change (ive got another identical unit on my race car (pug 106) thats running perfectly).
But when i load the latest megatune (on the new laptop) and connect up i get the following error that i cant get round!!

controller code version does not match signature in Megasquirt-II.ini.

Expected "MSExtra Rel 2.0.0" (found in ini file)
Received "MSExtra Rev 1.0.2" (from controller)

How do i get round this?

where is the ini file of the "expected"?

if i find it what do i put in it?

Is there an easier way of doing this?

what am i missing/doing wrong??

ive had a look on the forum but cant find anthing describing my situation...

yours frustratedly mark
Cheers Mark

Get the installer you used for 1.0.2 and run "copyini.bat"
