Coolant Temp Dial in Fuel VE Map??

Questions specific to Megatune. (Only about the tuning software, not about MS1/MS2 code or code features)

Coolant Temp Dial in Fuel VE Map??

Post by acalvo »

I'm currently in the process of tuning the Fuel VE Table. I'm tuning live with the engine on, and I use the 3-D Fuel VE Map to tune. The problem is I can't swap the default dials that show in the Fuel VE Map. I need to swap in the Coolant Temp Dial in order to monitor engine temp while tuning the 3-D Fuel VE Map. How can I do this? Please help!!!

Thanks,

You need to open you associated Megatune *.ini file, then go to near the bottom for the gauge configurations. There's a numbered listing of the gauges as they appear, and you just need to edit one of them to the proper gauge label. For example, to switch the Accel Enrich gauge for Coolant on the EGO 'page', locate the following in the *.ini:

; Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4
[other gauge information here]
gauge6 = accelEnrichGauge, accelEnrichGauge, dutyCycle1Gauge, dutyCycle2Gauge

and swap 'accelEnrichGauge' under the Page 1 column for cltGauge (all gauges are defined above that coding in the *.ini file).

Alternatively, TunerStudio is java based and you can customize your dashboard (if registered - well worth it!) to use any gauge in a multiple of forms, without editing files.
