Ms2 Extra pre 2.0

Questions specific to Megatune. (Only about the tuning software, not about MS1/MS2 code or code features)
Note that Megatune is obsolete.

I'd upgrade it to 3.4.4 which is current stable firmware.

thats awesome man. thank you very much!!!

He just needs it to get the ini-file so he can connect the laptop again, start a new project and re-map it for now.

And probably wise to upgrade the firmware while he is in there ;-)

You will probably want to retune the drivability parts of your tune to take advantage of the new firmware.
That combined with the new features will likely improve performance with adjustments, and the new fuels available.
What was it tuned for? How much compression? HP level? RPM? ET/MPH potential?
Does it have enough injector and adequate fuel supply?
Be certain everything it right, make no assumptions.
The "New Car Blues" can be daunting, patience and logic are your friends.
Folks often forget all the short cuts they took building or running a race car, now you have inherited all those issues!

If this is any kind of new to you,
Because RaceCar don't hammer it all the way through, and especially don't try to rotate the earth.
Everyone wants to knock it out of the park, but there is some beneficial learning moments to be had.
A high performance motor has the potential to eat it's self up faster than a production motor.
I'd sneak up on it, Start with just burnouts and make sure you are able to keep it running, and that it is able. (don't slam on the brakes if you are wet sumped!)
Then launch it but shut it off before the shift and check your logs and plugs.
Then run it to half track and check your logs and plugs.
Now you are in a much better position to hammer it!
If the car lays down, doesn't go straight, or is janky, click it off (don't try to Power Through some do-do).
But I would still not run it all the way through, unless you are sure it's a nice soft tune. (moreso if it's boosted)
Sneaking up on it both educates you and gives you confidence, it can limit any mechanical issues by catching detonation early.
You may have other issues to deal with, to get the car down the track, EFI is just a tiny part of the picture...
