Correct MegaScott - I should have said that two PLUGS fire at the same time.

Let me expand my idea.

Firing order is 1-3-4-2, COP ignition.

Fire COP 1 (TDC compression) and COP 4 (TDC overlap)

Engine rotates 180°

Fire COP 3 (TDC compression) and COP 2 (TDC overlap)

Engine rotates 180°

Fire COP 4 (TDC compression) and COP 1 (TDC overlap)

Engine rotates 180°

Fire COP 2 (TDC compression) and COP 3 (TDC overlap)

So it "acts" like waste-spark, but it is COP.

Yea, I kinda figured that's what you mean't, there's some guys running COP's wired the way you said, but you can't use really low impedence coils, the EDIS outputs can only drive a certain load before they current limit, and or quit working. (don't ask me what the max load is I haven't tested it.)

Current limit is 6A on my EDIS4.

If you're running lower impedance COP coils in series, you can keep the dwell time very similar to the Ford coilpack.

anyone know the pinout of the 07-11 inline pin model? It has a 4 pin inline side connector. looking into the socket, key on top...? ? It looks like it has the V6 cylinders cast into body

found it. logical with 12V on pin 3 (R/L) and coils fall inline. 3-12v+-1-2
