trail live file problems

Post by Sam280Z »

I can't seem to get this to work. Running MS3 w/ Tunerstudio, Megalogviewer 2.993, and Windows 7
I start datalogging in tunerstudio, Then use the "trail live file" to open the msl file.
Megalogviewer only gets the data that is in the file at the time that I open the "trail live file" dialog. It does not show new data as it is written to the file.
If I re-open the file, it shows the new data, The open file dialog never shows the file being updated - the size and time stamp do not change. If I reopen the file, I get the new data up until the time that the file was opened.

Any ideas?

Sam

I pulled out an old laptop with XP on it. Trailing worked fine on it. Megalogviewer version 2.9591.

Yeah, it seems trail was broken on 2.9930. It is fixed again in 2.9945

Thanks! It works great now.

Just FYI, I had a bit of trouble tracking down v2.9945. When I asked v2.9930 to check for updates, it said it was the latest version. So I went looking online. Google led me to here:http://www.tunerstudio.com/index.php/downloads, which still shows 2.9930 as the current version. So I thought it might be beta. Followed the link to MLV betas as directed to here: http://www.efianalytics.com/TunerStudio/beta/, but no MLV is there at all.

Finally found it here:http://www.efianalytics.com/MegaLogViewer/download/
When I installed it, the splash screen said I was installing v3.0 beta although it installed 2.9945.

Thanks again.
Sam

Yeah, I'm not sure why 2.9945 never made it out to all the download sites.

I was going to post the link to that in the last post, but I was typing in my phone..

I will get the real MLV 3.0 out before spring.

Thanks, it works. However there is a small issue. The values that are shown on the vertical line is actually not the real time. So this line is in the middle and the real time values are at the end of screen. Is it possible to combine real time values with graph?
