LS2 coil wiring question.
when looking at the diagram located here. http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms3/pix/ls2coil.gif
im not sure where i attach the signal ground at the MS3X board....?
the coils i will be using are MSD LS2 coils i got a good deal on.
whats with the capacitor that is optional?

Re: LS2 coil wiring question.
You should ground the coils at the main connector, not the MS3X connector. Use the same pin you're using as the signal return for your sensors.
The capacitor helps stabilize the voltage to the coil.

Re: LS2 coil wiring question.
so i could splice all the coil signal ground together and run them to pins 7-19? on the man MS connector? (being they are all common grounds?) or, being that i have to ground some on the engine anyway, i could just hook them up to the coils, while some go to ground?

Re: LS2 coil wiring question.
Ideally, you should ground each individual logic ground wire to wherever your sensors are grounded; usually this is a single pin on the main connector. The "power" grounds should be grounded at the engine block, along with the "power" ground wires from your MegaSquirt ECU and MS3X.ducman82 wrote:so i could splice all the coil signal ground together and run them to pins 7-19? on the man MS connector? Re: LS2 coil wiring question.
so like pins 1 and 2? where the coolant and air temp sensors are grounded?
