SD Datalogging Question

Post by Scottie-GNZ »

Got the engine running pretty good and plan to test at the strip Friday and would like to use SD datalogging with a button. Tested it today but it did not work and after re-reading the documentation I think I should be using a momentary switch instead of on an on/off. Can someone please verify this. When I turned the switch on, I got the red SD indicator but when I turned it off, the indicator did not go off. I turned the switch on then off again, then the indicator went out. Tried to do an import and got the "please wait" message but it did nothing.

TIA

Yes you need a momentary push button.

If you aren't using the LEDs on the Megasquirt case for anything (e.g. "LED spark") then configure one of them as an SDcard logging indicator, that will help you understand what's happening.

That's also what's shown in the manual (!)
