External wiring layout Q

Post by MG David »

If I understand the external wiring layout for MS1 V2.2 board, it shows 12V supply provided to 2 pins on the DB37.

Pin 28 has 12V via a 3A fuse from the main relay.
Pin 37 has 12V unfused from the fuel pump relay.

I will only be using MS for ignition and data logging at this stage so my fuel pump will continue to be powered in the way it is currently.

Is it OK to power both pins 28 and 37 from the same 12V source?

pin 37 isn't a 12V supply - it is a ground output to the coil of the fuel pump relay.

Thanks James. Looking at the diagram again I can see it.

Any particular reason why it grounds through MS?

That's how the Megasquirt turns it on.
