Please post datalogblack 89turbo wrote:I think this is interesting, When the car is cranked the coolant temp jumps up. As i am lost on this injection situation, im trying to find anything that may lead to the issue im having. I set the deadtime to 1.3 and cranked the car a ton. Then i took all the plugs out to see if there was any fuel on the plugs, they were dry. In order to put the injectors on the ms3x board i have to buy the harness. Cant de-pin.
I dont unerstand why the car will not fire on a low Pulsewidth....

It certainly looks like you have the coolant sensor grounded to the block or car; that is an issue but not likely the cause of this problemblack 89turbo wrote:

These may have been covered already. (Sorry, I don't have time to read 7 pages of posts at the moment.)
Is fuel pressure ok?
Are you sure you've got the injector size / ReqFuel correct ?
All I'm seeing here is that you need more fuel than you are currently set for. That's all that's happening when you increase the dead time, you "cheat" the Megasquirt into injecting more fuel.

Its grounded Threw the ECU... Or so i thought. I may have mixed up the plugs for the fan temp sensor and the coolant temp sensor when i plugged them back in after putting the resistor boxes in. Yea i bet thats what i did. Ill fix that, no biggie. AAfter posting it that was my first thought.Peter Florance wrote:It certainly looks like you have the coolant sensor grounded to the block or car; that is an issue but not likely the cause of this problemblack 89turbo wrote:

Injectors: 450cc Low impedance
Engine: Vg30et, V6, 2960 cc (181 cu. in). Yes its correct.
Peter sent me a Fuel table to try. i figured the table was decent enough to start the car. No?
Re: Ign signal, tps, nightmare. Base map would be great!
what you are hearing are not your injectors firing but the middle plug wire arcing on the right side, its plain as day in the 2nd video, the first vid i see the reflecion in the fuel rail.

Its deff the injectors clicking. I will unplug the coil, pull the distributor out and spin it by hand. You will hear the same noise, the same sequence. I see the arc. 2nd video 22-24seconds when the car shuts off it gets very clear. weird its arcing out like that. Going to investigate all the wires. You have a hell of a eye ash. How did you spot that? to me at first it looks like just a vibration until you really pay attention.ashford wrote:what you are hearing are not your injectors firing but the middle plug wire arcing on the right side, its plain as day in the 2nd video, the first vid i see the reflecion in the fuel rail.

Watch out, must be a secret agent?! I can barely spot that even after watching it another three times!black 89turbo wrote:You have a hell of a eye ash. How did you spot that? to me at first it looks like just a vibration until you really pay attention.
If the injector parameters really are correct, there's a couple of things to do then :
Bump up your cranking pw% massively (e.g. double it.)
Adjust your deadtime curve 1. You are cranking at 10V. Increase the 7.2V and 9.6V %ages, try 400% and 220%

Injector parameters are correct.
I have doubled (60%) my cranking with no effects
I have not adjusted deadtime curve1. i will try that now, thanks.

60% ???black 89turbo wrote:I have doubled (60%) my cranking with no effects
The "cranking pulse" values in the MSQ you posted range from 326% @ 10F down to 101% @ 180F

Re: Ign signal, tps, nightmare. Base map would be great!
So i decided to "ezzzz" into "doubling the settings". I literaly had to double them. As soon as they were double ,as you said, it fired right up. 1 obsticale down. WOW i put resistor boxes on for no reason, but i feel way more comfortable with them installed and just leaving PWM off. One less hassle. I guess its time to learn how to use MLV, VE Analyze ect ect. Thank you so much! You have no idea. never would have thought to double them settings. I have tried to "up" them a few times but never double. Thanks!!!!

I wonder why it goes all the way rich, all the way lean, all the way rich, all the way lean, ect ect at a steady rate. I tried messing with all sorts of things with no luck. getting back at it in the morning, any helpful thoughts would be appreciated.

The car goes lean-rich, idle surge (obviously) from 400-1200. As soon as the map sensor hose is unplugged from the manifold it idles steady with a/f from 12.7-13.3, put the car threw a full heat cycle (finally) keeping the map sensor unplugged. Yes the vaccum port was capped off when i unplugged the map sensor hose.

Increase required fuel until it idles with vacuum hose installed.black 89turbo wrote:The car goes lean-rich, idle surge (obviously) from 400-1200.
