Just got a load of bits from a BMW E28... (Bosch part numbers):
Injectors: 0 280 150 716
TPS: 0 280 120 301
Idle valve: 0 280 140 509
I also took the air meter (0 280 202 083) because it looked useful but I probably won't use it.
Can the rest be used with MS?
Are these BMW parts suitable?

Are these BMW parts suitable?
Overwhelmed with the response...
The manuals seem to indicate that the TPS won't work as it's a 2-position switch so now have to source one from elsewhere.
The IAC should be fine if I get get hoses to fit it...

Re: Are these BMW parts suitable?
More of a memo to myself really. The injectors are high impedance (15.6 ohms) which is good news as I can drive them directly

Re: Are these BMW parts suitable?
What year and model E28? Auto or manual? I ask because some of the later autos do have a TPS...spandit wrote:Just got a load of bits from a BMW E28... (Bosch part numbers):

The 0-280-150-716 is a switch not a pot TPS.
MAF air meter isn't really used with MS. At least I don't use it. that air meter does contain the air temperature sensor, but
I usually just use a GM AX1 style sensor...
I think the idle valve may be usable, its a 3-wire pwm style valve. I didn't use one with my MS install, I used a simpler hot wire style.
What engine are you doing this to?

I've bought a different TPS (with a new throttle body attached!). I'm trying to 'squirt a Pinzgauer engine - it's been done before but not in the way I'm attempting...

Re: Are these BMW parts suitable?
TPS ( Bosch 0 280 122 001) arrived - looks like it will bolt straight onto the BMW throttle body I've already got, although the Volvo one it came with is pretty compact (but nowhere to fit the IAC). The BMW one comes with dual springs too which is important for motorsport.
Still waiting to hear back from some engineering firms regarding the manufacture of my dummy carbs and then I'll be good to go!

TPS didn't bolt straight on but making an adaptor plate was easy
