Linux direct connection over can0 device.

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Linux direct connection over can0 device.

Has there been any consideration given to adding the ability to talk to the MS directly over the linux kernel can driver?

It's been considered.. Haven't come up with a good enough reason for it to be prioritized over all the efforts yet.

It seems like low priority to me and would require a totally new comms layer compared to serial.

What compatible CAN hardware is there?

Just wondering. I've got a raspberry pi on the CAN and it could be useful to connect TS on it when I don't have the main pc. Not a priority at all really. Being able to have mutiple TS instances connected in a dash-only mode could be nice.
