HELP!!! Wideband won't Read!!

Post by Slowr427 »

I just installed my pnp2 for my 92 mustang. It starts up and idles fine. The problem i'm having is that the gauge is reading the correct air fuel ratio but I can't get the megasquirt see the afr input.

I connected the yellow wire from Innovate LC-2 to pin 21.
I adjusted the WB and calibrated the megasquirt to the given AFR values of:
0v=7.35
5v=22.39

I know I sound stupid. But I'm lost! Also

Thank You

Optional Configurations
Several jumpers are located on the lower, black circuit board inside the MSPNP. These are accessible by removing the top cover and are indicated as depicted below. However, these dictate the platform with which the MSPNP is design for. The only jumper that should be changed, if desired, is J6.

Place a jumper between "O2 Sensor" and "J8-29" to connect the right bank OE O2 sensor the MSPNP. Likewise, connect the jumper between "O2 Sensor" and "J8-43" to connect the left bank OE O2 sensor.

My guess is you remove J6 jumper to enable pin-21 on the Options Port.
You can verify this by testing continuity from pin-21 to the center pin of J6.

Did you get this sorted out? Have you verified that you are getting voltage output from the wideband and going into MS?

Can I ask what you fixed?

Also what is the head phone jack for? I don't have the PNP version and don't have a headphone jack. What does one do with it?

The Mustang specific MSPNPG2 looks like this.
Couldn't use the standard serial port because of interference with the factory bracket/location. The factory ECU barely fits.

Headphone output for knock sensor - listen for knock while you tune!
The small connector that looks like it could be for a set of headphones - well, it is. On engines equipped with a knock sensor, this allows you to listen to the knock sensor. In most cases if your vehicle had a factory knock sensor, we've already tied it in through the factory wiring harness. If your vehicle did NOT have a factory knock sensor, you can add one, if you like, using the option connector outlined above.

Can you post a pic of how to wired the Wideband into the PNP2?

so I am attaching the 5v wire from my WB gauge to one of the pin adapters and plugging that one plug into the port #21?

Read your WB docs. The output of the WB gauge or WB controller would go to pin-21.
