New Feature - Global Setup of RPM / KPa points

New Feature - Global Setup of RPM / KPa points

Post by nd_mustang »

I’d like the ability to define my RPM and KPa ranges somewhere globally, not repeatedly in the software for each screen.

Agree.
As soon as start using multiple tables end up having to set multiple times.

Ranges as in breakpoints for tables? Or something else?

This would potentially be a Tunerstudio feature instead of a firmware feature IMO, i'd post it in the TS forum and see what Phil says. TS could give you project flag with the option to use the same row/col values without needing to worry about the firmware.

Good point.
There is the ability to load maps which brings in the row and column values.

This could be done a lot of ways...

Originally there was on one set of axis', all/most tables used the same ones, so change it in one place and it would change everywhere. This is how some of the more primitive systems I have worked with still work.
The MS firmware has made multiple axis arrays to give you the flexibility to have different break points on different tables.

Theoretically this could be a firmware option where tables used a single set of axis's unless you set to use it's own. Could be table by table...

Alternatively, TS could track changes to table axis and offer to update any other tables of the same size and axis units.
Or perhaps a utility tool that allows you to set all matching axis at once, but they then maintain their independence.

Thanks Phil.

I think there are two use cases.
1) Initial setup. Set, tune forget.
2) Later adjustment of one table, possibly requires updating axis' of related or other tables, but possibly not all...?

Tracking sounds pretty cool.
Or a simple pair of buttons next to inc/dec buttons which copy & paste axis'?

A copy paste is an interesting additional option.
