degrading *.msq causing stutter under boost?

Post by ochizon »

I have a strange issue that I would love to get some input on.

A while ago, I posted this:

http://www.msextra.com/viewtopic.php?t=22714

What finally got rid of it was loading an older msq. I figured it was simply a screwy msq, so I forgot about it.

A few days later, on the solid working map, I did some map tweaking while a buddy of mine was driving. After burning to ecu a few times with several different changes, I noticed the stutter came back.

At this point I figured the processor was screwy.

So I
1. Ordered a new chip,
2. Installed it and loaded msnse 029t
3. wrote a WHOLE NEW MSQ, from scratch, even entering the individual cells in the VE and timing maps.

Fired up the truck, took it for a run, and it stuttered. Not too severely, but it was there.

THINGS THAT TOOK PLACE JUST BEFORE THIS ALL BEGAN

This issue started just after I gave my unit to a buddy of mine, and he wired in the launch control circuit. He wired it up in the old style, like this

Just after that was the first few times that I ever noticed the stutter.

What really gets me is that its inconsistent, and if I load that older msq, it always cures it (until I start tweaking that map...)

HELP!!!!

Thanks
