Just got my ford 4.9turbo running on ms2 extra. Runs alright driving around. A few more tweaks and it's ontothe boost mapping

got a ms2 running a vw gol 1993 1.8 AP1800 engine, turbo charged, running 20psi (23 now) atm, wasted spark, toothed wheel 60-2, boost control N75 valve

ITB fuel injection has since been added using DCOE style ITB tapered throttle bodies made by EFIhardware.com.LAV1000 wrote:14:1 Cr, what type of fuel are you using ?

The throttle bodies have a tapered bore, 48-45-43 mm.
Using 339 cc/min Bosch injectors.
What a difference compared to the carbies.
Would never go back to carbs.

I never posted in this thread, but I got my 78 yamaha XS650 running on microsquirt. Rephased, using the oddfire setting and sequential.

I have a 1982 HONDA CBX Running with Microsquirt controlling Fuel and Ignition. Starts, idles and even accelerates well. Further tuning under road conditions needed. 6 - 33mm ITB Batch Fire with throttle bodies constructed from a set of heavily modified CBX carburetors. Running 6 - D585 GM Coils Lost Spark.

Neat install on such an epic bike.
Have some questions:
TPS sensor where is it located and what type do you use?
What do you use as CLT (CHT) sensor and where is it located?
How/where is your crank/cam sensor setup located?
And do you have a close up picture of how you did put in the injectors in those OEM chv carburators?
Alternator is up to it, even in a long run?

After a decade, yes a full DECADE (started in 2008) of running the 2002 on MS2 with B&G code I finally last month pulled the trigger and upgraded to MSExtra code!

Currently running MS2 on Pontiac 455 for past 2 years. I still tune all the time. Trying to improve on performance and starting.

Here's my Car: 1982 Triumph TR7 V8
The Engine: P38 Range Rover V8. Born as a 4.0L then completely re-built. Stroked out to 4.6, cross-bolted block, fully ported heads, 10:1 CR pistons, Crane “fast street cam”, over-sized sump pan, Magnecor plug leads.
ECU:
MS2, version 3.57, pre-assembled boards and case, wiring loom. TunerStudio MS Lite! v3.1.06 and MS2/Extra 3.4.3 release 20191126
• 2 four-tower wasted spark coils, BIP373 coil drivers.
• Bosch 256 CC/min injectors (Bosch 0 280 155 782)
• 36:1 toothed wheel on crankshaft with 3-wire Hall effect sensor
• 7-wire wideband O2 sensor
• Idle control: Bosch 4-wire stepper motor
Cooling (it gets very hot in summer so over-heating took some solving):
• Radiator Summit Racing 65cm x 48cm x 5.7cm. Because of the wedge shape of the nose, I had to cut some corners to get this in
• Cut four speed flaps into the fan shroud
• Davies Craig electric fan, water pump and integrated controller
• Oil cooler
Safety:
• Roll bar fitted
• Racing seat and six-point harness fitted for track days (takes about 45 minutes to swap racing seat for regular seat)
• Oil pressure gauge, coolant temp gauge and knock-sensor warning light mounted on dash in front of driver
Comfort:
• Fully insulated for heat and sound
• Original A/C replaced with Vintage Air Mini Gen II
• Tinted windows
• Parrot Asteroid Mini Blue-tooth sound with voice-activated phone calls
Headlight lift motors: Linak linear actuators
Differential: Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential

1991 BMW 325i running M20B25. This is now a dedicated track car running NASA TT, but started off as a hot street car. DIY Bosch 55-pin kit, which uses the DIY mainboard with microsquirt module. 60-2 factory crank wheel and sensor, speed-density tune with TPS, Accel 24 lb injectors in 2x3 batch fire. I built, wired, installed, and tuned...like most of us on here probably. Project started in Aug 2016 and was running in October 2016. Great success all around and have had zero real issues in 6 years. Should have posted this sometime previously in that 6 years...
I did have a fight with the Innovate LC-2 calibration drifting constantly and killing sensors and finally replaced the third one with an Autometer gauge/sensor combo that has been flawless since.
I was originally running a single coil/stock dizzy setup, but reached a point in the tune and engine condition (after a freshen-up in 2020) where I started getting intermittent random ignition misses. I was dwell-limited at 4200 RPM, and the breakup started at 4500, so I was suspicious. Broke down and ordered the IGN-6 3-coil waste spark setup from DIY along with three new ignition amplifiers. Runs flawlessly now, took quite a lot more re-tuning than I expected, but also picked up considerable power. Recently dyno'd at 191 HP to tires, consistent with fuel burn calcs indicating 225 crank HP with an assumed BSFC.
I have nothing but good things to say about the whole Megasquirt experience, Tuner Studio, and MLV. I especially like the injector test options, which I put to good use doing a full characterization of dead time and flow rate. Will and have recommended to friends and family, 5/5 stars.

currently runing vtec with solenoid controlled by programamble rpm based output + mapswitch rpm based too works great!

It's all pretty squeezed in with as little cutting and drill as possible. The car is almost totally rust free, 70% original paint and straight....
Bought a Microsquirt shortly after the car in 2019 with full intention of converting to EFI straight up. Finally got it on the car and running during second Sydney lockdown in 2021.
Specs; Microsquirt V3.0 with most of the channels full.
Stock Nissan L18 (from 610). Headers. Twin carb manifold drilled for injectors. Custom fuel rail, spacers and plenum.
GM parts;V6 70mm TB, L67 V6 injector, AIT and CLT sensors.
VW parts; Golf/Jetta coilpacks, crank sensor, oil pressure/temp sensor.
DIYautotune 36-1 wheel. Spartan II wideband. Walbro gsl393. Turbo smart FPR.
Hyundai excel (bosch) 3 wire idle motor.
Chinabay alloy radiator with twin fans.
810 5 speed trans. Subaru R180 plate LSD.
I'm just running batch fire, wasted spark with nothing particularly fancy. Hoping to add a turbo to this. It's ready for boost. Local government regs are the only thing stopping me really. It's taken me a while to get on top of tuning. I had some WB issues that really stunted tuning but the car runs really well now. Really impressive amounts of torque for a tired, old engine. It was putting out 67hp/76lb at the wheels before the EFI. I expect it's similar now. Ie, not much power but enough to have fun. I've got another L18 going in the car before too long with a much bigger head/cam. I've been wanting to sort through all the issues with the EFI before I committed to a highly strung motor. Only a few little things to do now. The car is a daily and used for motorkhanas and the like.
