SR20 TAARKS Crank Wheel pattern

Post by Shagspeed »

Trying to get some help on how to set this up in MS3. Apparently it supports sequential on AEM,Haltech,FuelTech & MoTec. I am not seeing how to set this up in the MS3. This is the only wheel thats used and its on the CAM with no Crank Sensor

Heres the Manual for the part and gives instructions for Haltech,Link and FuelTech... Any Help would be appreciated.

Set it up as Toothed Wheel, then below set Trigger Wheel Arrangement to Dual Wheel, number of teeth = 12, Main Wheel Speed = cam, And every rotation of = Cam.

Doesn’t duel wheel create a situation where it requires 2 inputs the crank input and cam input on a separate sensor? Or am I mistaken on that?

According to the manual you linked, the sensor provides two signals. "Home" will connect to the MS3 "cam" input.

So if I understand correctly use main engine speed is cam as well as home on cam and they both read on the same single sensor?

It looks like this has a north pole sensitive and south pole sensitive sensor in a common package, although I'm not 100% certain.

I think so. I was just wondering if MS can run both Crank & Cam on the same single sensor. If so how would one configure? Main engine speed CAM and Wheel #2 is also CAM? Never set one up before.

The sensor has two signal wires. (Trigger and Home.) The ECU doesn't care that they are actually coming from the same sensor, it just wants two signals.

Curious what settings ended up working for this? Currently working on the same issue. Thanks. :RTFM:
