Hi
Just noticed that when increasing rpm, advance starts to retard slightly towards higher rpm. It was like 4-5 deg retarded from the initial fixed 15 degrees at around 3300rpm.
There is setting for this in ts. But it makes it worse. There is also jitter because of dizzy. But that not what I mean.
I'll post msq later on tomorrow.

More important than a MSQ is how the ign is wired up.
How is the MS triggered, to what output.

You're probably seeing the latency of the hardware effect.
You can often correct this by adjusting the latency setting.
The GM ECMs had a table for this based on RPM, which could be adjusted to keep timing exactly where it should be, and different ICMs had different latency tables.

Re: Hei ignition advance slide to retard
Hello.
Sorry for the delay in answer.
Ignition is set as GM Hei 7 by ms extra manual.
Instead of 5 degrees of basic advance engine has 7.5 deg. So during first 5sec of engine running it has now 7.5 deg of ignition advange.
When I set value of 4 to hardware latency function. It did make a dfference. But wrong direction. It made it more retarded.

Re: Hei ignition advance slide to retard
Had a change to look in this more. Ms works correctly. It was me who slided to retard. Base timing was correct. But 12deg was only like 4deg at 3k rpm. I left it something like 10deg at 3krpm. It is not perfect. But way better what it was. 200us where I left the latency setting. High yes but it is clearly better with that. Cheked base time afterwards of course.
