HEI 4 pin to run COP's? 6 of them......

ok, i want to know if i can run my v6 with dum COP's (2 wire ford)



and have 6 of these instead of the little BIP373 bastrads. or maybe 3 in wasted spark
wiring the right side of R25 R26 R28 to the negative of the HEI 4 pin
and maybe running 12V to the positive input. this way ground switched?

I wouldn't advise using the HEI4 modules. That information in the manual dates back to say 2004 when MS1/Extra couldn't even control dwell. The HEI4 isn't designed to be operated this way and was "better than nothing." The BIP373 is actually designed to do the job.

I would use a module that had multiple ignition drivers, such as what some imports, such as Nissan have. Similar wiring compact and designed for this type of application.

so i got my arduino pulsing out 15Ms with 1Ms dwell



i ran it slower with the HEI module and both the coil and module get very hot!
with the bip373 both runs cold the whole time

out with the factory style and in with the ford coils (on a chevy motor)
