Megasquirt Identification - What Megasquirt do I have? |
How to identify what Megasquirt version you have
If you are unsure what product you have or where to begin, follow through the table:

From the outside this could be a Megasquirt-1 or a Megasquirt-2. Remove the upper two screws at each end of the case and remove the upper part of the case. Inside you will see a circuit board with either a big black chip or a plugin card.

Plugin card = Megasquirt-2. In TunerStudio Project Properties - Settings ensure you have "Megasquirt MS2 v3 or v3.57" selected.

This is a v1 or v2 Microsquirt.
In TunerStudio Project Properties - Settings ensure you have "Microsquirt (cased)" selected.

If you are already connected with TunerStudio then the title bar in the program will show the Megasquirt firmware version already.
In the example shown here, TunerStudio is connected to Megasquirt-3 firmware.
