Hi,
I´ve been using MLV on my tests with a Honda GX31, and i would like to know a way for me to determine the fuel consumption for a certain RPM value. For example i stabilize it at 3800rpm for like a period of 30 seconds, and i would like to know how much the engine consumes in average during that time. The problem is that the pulse width varies during that time, and i also dont know how to determine the dead time of the injector.
So is there a way to obtain the fuel consumption directly? To obtain a average value for that period? How can i do this?
Thanks
Regards

Re: Determine Fuel Consumption
Do you have VVS in the logs?
VSS = Vehicle Speed Sensors

Re: Determine Fuel Consumption
There is a Fuel Flow field under:
Calculated Fields --> Optional Fields
If you turn that on, you can select the range you are interested in and it will display the average over that range.
As for dead time, if you don't have a sheet, you need to flow test them or just use 1ms and accept there will be some small error.

Thank you very much for the reply, it helped me a lot.
Re: Determine Fuel Consumption
I'm looking at doing something similar except want to display real time economy on Shadowdash display. The Droid HU being used already has GPS speed so it should be able to calculate real time fuel usage. Ideas on how to do?

MPG = MPH / ( Duty Cycle × constant )
